About
The Artificial Intelligence Research Group (Ailice Labs) at the University School for Advanced Studies IUSS Pavia focuses on brain-inspired approaches in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Our goal is twofold, including the advancement of state-of-the-art techniques, and the application of these innovations to extract and quantify information, as well as to identify, classify, and predict events of interest. Our methods are applied across various fields, with a particular emphasis on data from: ● Imaging technologies, such as Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Computed Tomography (CT), optical imaging, ultraviolet (UV) fluorescence, near-infrared (NIR) reflectography, multi/hyperspectral imaging, functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), and visible imaging from remote sensing; ● Omics technologies for comprehensive genome analysis. While our primary areas of application include biomedical and diagnostic imaging, our methods are adaptable to a wide range of domains, such as environmental analysis and cultural heritage.
